This feature marks the culmination of the Neurodesign Roundtable held in Singapore, where thought leaders across design, neuroscience, policy, and community sectors gathered to explore how cities and workplaces can better support the natural diversity of human thinking and sensory experiences.

The whitepaper Rethinking Urban Spaces: Designing Cities for Every Mind captures the collective insights, evidence, and pathways discussed during the session.

“The insights and pathways outlined in this whitepaper make one truth clear:

New Publications in Collaboration with ION and The Neurodiversity Collective

Neurodiversity & Mental Health

Edited by Etain Quigley, Andrew Eddy, Timothy Frawley, Charlotte Valeur, Blánaid Gavin

Neurodiversity and Mental Health presents an evidenced-based and theoretically informed guide on effective, impactful strategies for collaborative advancement in the area of neurodiversity and mental health in terms of health care services and other social and political institutions.

Moving beyond generic approaches and assumptions about neurodiversity the contributors demonstrate strategic priorities that optimise outcomes for co-occurring mental health challenges and neurodiversity. The book synthesises the prevailing ideas, sets the cultural and scientific context and provides a useful resource for individuals and services to signpost necessary changes. Drawing together the international literature on co-occurring mental illness and neurodiversity, it pinpoints exemplars of best practice and provides a roadmap for further research and service innovation.
